House for Two Artists

A house for an artist couple. He teaches illustration at FIT and paints with egg tempera. She illustrates children’s books. They bought the house in the 90’s and raised a family there. Now that their children are grown they wanted to renovate the home for themselves. They used the parlor and garden levels primarily. We organized the house by flipping the kitchen/living to the parlor and turning the garden level into the bedrooms.
