Townhouse

Sculpted plaster forms climb up unexpected double height spaces.

Spread across six floors, the townhouse is connected by a central, curving plaster staircase. The ground floor boasts 20 foot ceilings, and the second floor of a double height living room space, both accented by window walls with a southern exposure. Inviting light from each room seamlessly passes through the home to create a warm, comforting space to relax with family and friends.

There was one drawback: The interior finishings, particularly the staircase, of the house didn’t feel right. [They needed] to update its traditionalism.
