Row House
midtown west
This fitness studio occupies the ground floor and sub-cellar level of a newly constructed condominium building on the far west side of Manhattan. The studio is shared by two brands — EVF, a personalized training and CrossFit space, and ROWHOUSE, a fitness and lifestyle brand centered around rowing. While the two brands share a space, they needed to remain visually distinct. ROWHOUSE, occupies the upstairs space and is punctuated with shots of bright yellow diagonals reminiscent of the collegiate inspired shield logo. Custom walnut millwork and polished concrete floors elevate the space. Downstairs, the Cross Fit space uses a similar geometry in lighting diagonals but the palette is more industrial with rough concrete and raw plywood.
